Transferring iTunes library, inc stats, from XP to Leopard

Hiya,
I'm currently moving all my files over from my Windows PC to my first Mac.

I want to copy my itunes library over, which I'm comfortable with doing, as I've successfully copied it across windows machines in the past... BUT... I would like to make sure that all my stats, specifically the play counts, are all retained through the transfer.

Can someone please confirm that this can be done, as I'm fairly sure that my windows-windows transfers resulted in the play counts etc being reset.

It works if you just drag over the entire iTunes folder.

I've done this 4 times between OS X and Windows now. 🙄

So, do I not ever actually 'import' the library at all? Just literally copy the old windows itunes-related files over the top of the Mac ones?
That just sounds too easy!!! 🙂

Just copy the iTunes folder and all of its contents.
