I have been using the same iPhone backup for 10 years for 8 phones and I would like to start over again with my new phone that I am getting today. Is there a way, though, to transfer JUST the photos into my camera roll without transferring the rest of my data? Thanks!

If you have a Mac, Airdrop works well. Or if you have the iCloud Media library.

How about if I want to "ONLY" transfer contacts and nothing else? What's the process? I have a MBA and plan on purchasing the XS+. Thanks.
You can use iCloud. Sign in on your phone then sign in on your new phone.

I appreciate your reply. So all I need to do is turn ON Contacts in iCloud settings, turn OFF everything else, and this should transfer only contacts to new iPhone. Thanks so much.
Also you can do that on your Mac as well.
