Is it possible to transfer app's I have purchased on my account to my daughters touch on her account? If so, how is this done without deleteing everything on er device?

Transferring purchased app between devices

Yes. We have two iPhones, two computers (PC and Mac) and two iTunes accounts. What I do is copy the app from one computer's iTunes to a flash drive via USB. Then transfer the app from the flash drive to the other computer's iTunes. The only thing about this is that any update to that app will only go to the account that purchased it, so you would have to transfer it all over again to get the updated app.
How do you transfer them to a flash drive - just cut and paste the app?? Or is there a file somewhere you need to grab?
Open iTunes, go to your apps click on an app, drag and drop it to your flash drive. It makes a copy so iTunes still has your app. Do the reverse to put the app on the other iTunes.
I figured it out, but took the long way. I found the folder music/itunes/mobile applications and pasted the app file into that folder, then double clicked on it and it installed it in the app's library.

I have 2 itunes accounts on my computer--my girlfriends & mine--so I'm always having trouble updating my apps through my iPhone. Sometimes she buys the apps on her account & other times I buy them, so when I try to update an app, it says "You are not authorized to do this". Does that mean I have to plug my iPhone into iTunes & go onto the opposite account? Or what do I do? Half the time, i don't even remember which account purchased the app, so any help on how to figure out that whole problem? I just want to be able to update my apps from my iPhone...

Gee, I'm suprised that this works! I thouht that when you instaled and app it would be locked to that iTunes account.

Obviosuly the app store knows that you didn't buy the app with your phone.(there is a record of all your purchaces associated with your Mac ID on the mac server)
Do what I said earlier to Jackryan57, you have to recopy the app.
The easiest way to do any of this is to have one iTunes account one computer for two iPhones. It will remember each iPhone's content for syncing.
