iPad mini Transferring SD card photos and videos to iPad Mini

I have an iPad Mini Retina that has the lightning connector. I want to transfer photos and movies from my camera to the iPad when I am away from my computer. I have the Camera Connection Kit, which is 30 pin. Neither Apple's 30 pin to lightning adapter nor the SD to lightning connector support video. Is there an after market adapted that might work with photos and video? Or do I have to sync movies to the iPad using iTunes?

I use an eye-fi card in my camera to sync photos wirelessly.

I've been using the 31 pin CCK, now with an adapter, for video for years. Works just fine. I've been going from either Canon or Fuji sd cards. Never recall an issue. My wife does it all the time with her Canon.

Now using a retina mini and the adapter, iOS 7.
