Transferring the iPhoto library to windows

I'd like to get all of my iPhoto library that is organized into events and stuff onto a windows machine. How can I do this so it stays organized?

You can't.

Best you can do is export all of the photos, and import them into something like Picasa, but you'll still have to reorganize all the photos again.

Unfortunately, you can't. 🙁

You can, however, export out all the photos and move them to Windows. Then you can use Picasa (by far the best Windows tool for photos.)

iPhoto's "Events" and such are proprietary and you won't be able to transfer that structure and data.

Alright. Thanks guys. I'll try out picasa right now to see what it's all about. It looks pretty cool.

use that script to export keeping the event names. Useful if you've organised them that way in iPhoto (which you probably have!)
