Transferrring from CPU to MB?

Can I transfer my music files from my desktop CPU to my new Macbook? I have 100gb and my external hard drive is formatted wrong.

If so how do I go about transferring from CPU to MB

FireWire. If you have a PC and it doesn't have FireWire, kick yourself for not buying a PC specifically for that purpose.

Or a direct Ethernet link might work...

Ethernet is probably the best bet. Even if your external is formatted wrong you should still be able to copy the files off.

Also if you format it as FAT32 on the Mac using [guide]Disk Utility[/guide] you can use in with both your Mac and PC.
