Hi All --

Does anyone know how to transition from iWeb and .mac? Let me be more specific.

My company's site is designed in iWeb and hosted through my .mac account. As iWeb has been designed more for personal use vs. business, it is time to redesign my site.

I'm paying someone to sort this all out -- he will be using Dreamweaver and will sort out the new host. He is unfamiliar with iWeb and asked me to get the .mac ftp host and host directory. He said something about Dreamweaver settings to access the file server.

I have always been unclear. . . iWeb does not use FTP? Is this information available, and how do I get it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. . . I am no web expert, so your feebdack is greatly appreciated!

.mac (now mobile me) doesn't use FTP, it uses WebDAV. You can just package up your iWeb site and email them that. I'm sure if you are paying him, he will be happy to help out with any problems you have =]

In your home folder, just look for the sites folder. In there will be one with the name of your website you made in iWeb. Right click (or CTRL+click) and "Compress". Send them the compressed file.
