Anyone know why Transmission slows down my internet to a stop. I mean, Transmission will be downloading something at like 32kbps, and uploading at 10kbps yet loading web pages is almost impossible.

Do I have ports to open? BTW I don't have a router...just CAT5 into the wall.

You are able to check in Transmission now to see if your port is open on your internet connection.

What is your upstream bandwidth?

I can usually get upstream of 200+kbps...

How can I open the Tranmission port? It says there is an error checking its status. Ty.

Any word on being able to select pieces of the whole torrent? or Do you still have to download the whole thing?

Nope, selective downloading is not a feature of transmission yet. You still have to download the entire file for now. This is the main reason why I'm sticking with Azureus.

Looks like a good update. I like that you can now look at the peers you are connected to, helps gives you an idea of how the torrent is going.

I also like the new progress "square" in the inspector.
