Transmit vs WinSCP

Hello,

I am new to mac and I'm still learning. I wanted to ask if there are any differences in the way the Transmit uploads files compared to the WinSCP on Windows?

I uploaded some PHP files on my server and the website was not loading, after transferring the same file with WinSCP it worked (same ftp account)

I see Transmit uses PASV, not sure what that means.

scp uses ssh. Transmit can do this if you tell it to. Are you by chance trying FTP instead?
