Hi All,

I can find no options to enable Transparency in Leopard. My task bar is just white at the moment.

Thanks for any assistance.

A spotlight search for 'transparent' or 'transparency' yields no results and neither does the same come up with any results in Finder.

Let me guess: You have a G4 based Mac? For some reason the menubar isn't transparent on a G4, which is odd because the menus are.

Hi,

I own an iMac G5 (non-sight).

Thanks.
Hmm.. OK. I've not tried Leopard on a G5 based Mac so I'm not sure about menu transparency, but perhaps what I said above applies to all PPC Macs. Sadly as far as I can tell there is no option to turn it on or off.

Yeah I'm having the same problem with my iMac G5, but...

Another topic exists. Please use this thread:

Wayfarer, might be worth having it moved into this forum, as most people will consider ir a problem and as such will come into the OS X help & troubleshooting problem. I did a search for 'transparent' & 'transparency' in this forum before posting, and had your post been here, I would have found it.

Just my thoughts to avoid further double posts.

I'm hoping that Tinkertool will provide that option, if Apple doesn't fix it. It seems like a major oversight to me.
