S.B.G Moderator emeritus Jul 6, 2013 #2 From what I know, Apple locked down the dock in such a way as to no longer make it possible to customize. This was done with the introduction of Mountain Lion. App like Candy Bar no longer can change the Dock.

fisherking Suspended Jul 11, 2013 #9 mirage working here 10.8.4 as well. try deleting the preference files for the dock, perhaps. and maybe finder prefs... repair permissions? something is keeping it from working. did this happen when u updated to 10.8.4??
