Trash button won't work in mail app

I can tap edit and then select multiple messages to delete, but simply tapping the trash icon results in mail quitting on me. anyone have a similar problem? Any possible solutions?

At the bottom of the list of checked mail is a red delete button. Have you tried this instead of the icon.

I actually just fixed the issue. I did a system restore and it works fine. Thanks though!

This problem keep re-appearing for me. I do a restore to fix it, and then a week later, problem is back. Have you had any further problems?

You might want to also stat what email service you are using and how you have it setup. Ie gmail with exchange server.
