Trash Doesn't make any noise in SL

Is this the way its supposed to be or is something wrong with me? Trash doesn't make any noise when emptying or putting items in the the trash. is it just me?if not how can i fix this? already restarted

Yea, mine doesn't make any noise either, I kinda like it.

Mine has sound, too.

Check System Preferences > Sound, Sound Effects and make sure "Play user interface sound effects" is checked, and also make sure there the proper output is selected under "Play sound effects through".
