Trash? is there one?

I know I can delete the trash in the mail, but what happens to other things you delete from the phone? Apps, photos, texts.... when I delete them, where do they go and are they still taking up space? How do I permanently delete? Thanks for the help!! 🙂

They are technically not fully deleted until you restart but there is no way to recover them.
