Trash Issue

[Apple Mac Daz]

On my 15" Retina the trash is showing empty but I have items in there. If I right click I can't empty it but I can when I open it in finder and select it from the status bar.

Anyone know how to fix it, I have tried doing a restart but it's still the same.

Maybe open disk utility and check for disk errors. Id start there. Are they hidden files?

No just normal files, old photos and videos etc

Cheers will try disk utility when I get home

I just had this same problem. Try relaunching Finder by clicking the  logo on the top left of the screen and Force Quit...

Worked for me!
