Trash Sound Disappeared

I just notice I don't hear my trash sound when I empty the trash. Is there somewhere I can look to reset it ? I don't see it in System preference.

Assuming your volume isn't muted, in the System Preferences under Sound, make sure that Play User Interface Sound Effects is checked. 🙂

I get sound when I play quick time, and user interface is check, still no paper crushing sound when I empty trash.

How about other similar system sounds like moving a file from one folder to another? Have you repaired permissions recently? 🙂

New G5 IMAC, Trash sound started working again after restarting computer.

If it happens again, I'd repair permissions from Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.

That's weird, I also noticed recently that my trash sound stopped working. I just never seemed to pass any heed in it.
