Trash Window Question

Is there a way to make the trash always open in a window like this?

I want all the other Finder window to use the standard brushed metal view, but I like the trash in the plain window. As of now if I set the trash window to use the plain window it will stay like that until I log out, then it will be back to brushed metal. How can I make it stick?

Any Finder window (including Trash) will remember its state if you do this:

Open the window
Make it look exactly like you want, *without touching any files inside*
Close it

Now, provided Finder (or your machine) doesn't crash (ie, you get a clean logout) your settings for that window should stick.
