once again thank you all for your input, it will prove to be very very useful to me as I had nothing to start on. Certainly a lot to take in but I will slowly digest and look through all the suggestions!

If you go to maryland, I do not suggest going to Baltimore, mainly because it sucks, unless you are really interested in aquariums or something. I would definitely go to D.C. its such a nice city, and a lot to see. Good luck! I've always wanted to go on a big long road trip.
