So I was experimenting with increasing the cursor size in the accessibliity options, as seen in the attachment. It was okay, but it also makes photoshop brush cursors bigger too, which is no good.

So I switched it back as you can see, and no matter how many times I switch it back, it always comes back big, even though the slider is set to smallest as you can see.

Not sure when it happens, could be when switching from laptop mode to clamshell mode, but even which I set the cursor size on just laptop mode, or in clamshell mode, doesn't take.

Any idea on this? Really obnoxious. Anything I can try that I haven't already?

The setting is the mouseDriverCursorSize key in com.apple.universalaccess.plist.

It takes a real number where 1 is the default, I think.

    So try:

    defaults delete com.apple.universalaccess mouseDriverCursorSize

to delete the setting and restore the default. Might need a restart.
