This is just your very limited experience using apps that others may or may not use. I have the series 3 and have noticed major improvements and would recommend it to anyone.

Battery life with S3 has been amazing considering I use lte with it and I have 60% every night before bed.

I sold my S2 SSSB and purchased a S3 aluminium SG and I’m seeing absolutely no difference in battery life or performance.
I recommend anyone to buy the discounted S2.

I would say the strongest features with the Series 3 is the battery life and speed. If you read through all these forums, that's easily the top two features improved over the Series 2.

Although the Series 2 is still a very viable Apple Watch And can be found with discounted sale prices if one looks.

That’s actually the single biggest plus of the new model I’ve read, maybe besides the LTE some people love more than others. In videos it’s clear that replying to texts with Siri dictation and stuff I do a lot every day is noticeably faster on S3 (even though it’s still okay on my S2)

Speed would be the biggest reason for me to upgrade. Hate waiting !

There's quite a bit of difference according to YouTube videos.
I'm planning to get a Series 3.

I also considering between Series 2 and 3. No interest in LTE. Initially leaning toward Series 2 because of the saving I can get but after watching the Youtube video on how fast the app launches in Series 3, I am having second thoughts.

The Series 3 is considerably improved over the Series 2, especially in battery life as already mentioned above. Also, the S2 has been officially discontinued which, given the number of issues it seems to have with the microphone after being used in water, might be for good reason. I wouldn't even consider getting an S2 over an S3 today. I've got the S3 cellular but even if you don't want cellular, the S3 GPS is the way to go.

The W2 chip alone is worth the upgrade you actually have somewhat fast data transfer for the first time! WatchPlayer is amazing with the new chip.

I agree with everyone here who says the S3 is faster and more satisfying to use.

However, I found out, when using with a phone, it depends on the phone you use. I still have an old 6 Plus (awaiting patiently for the X) and the ‘Mail’ and ‘Maps’ native apps sometimes lag on updating data. Rebooting my phone almost always speed things up to what they’re supposed to be.

I can’t wait for the X and these next two weeks will be the longest ever!!

I've upgraded every year and while the difference isn't as profound as the jump from Series 0 to 2, it is still noticeably smoother and speedier. Siri responds quicker, WI-FI speeds are improved, and opening apps and sending scribbles is quicker. I'm happy with the upgrade and will probably stick this one out until it no longer receives updates (he says every year).

That's interesting. I didn't know the Series 2 Had issues with the microphone in the water. I do know that the microphone has been much improved with The series 3.

I think it's a gift you don't see any difference in your experience so can take advantage of discounted older models.
