Tried storeahci to enable AHCI on Win 8 or 10?

    storahci is set to zero anyway with the default ATA/IDE Bootcamp driver.

    People appear to think there's no AHCI driver loaded in Bootcamp. This isn't true. Connect any SSD drive to a SATA card and you will see AHCI driver is always loaded, it's never disabled. It's just that with the boot drive in bay 1 or 2 the AHCI calls are being converted to ATA/IDE but the speed of the interface is the same as a normal AHCI, maybe with a little overhead.

    Here you can see the default setting on fresh Bootcamp install is set to zero. You don't need to fiddle with it.
