Posted this on reddit and figure I might as well post it on here as well.

First set of pics is of the scratch and the after pics are the last two.

You apply almost no pressure. You just slide or glide the finishing pad on the scratch in a horizontal direction.

After just one brushing movement I saw the scratch visibly fade away!

I came from an SS and never minded scratches because I knew I could refinish it. Now we have the same for the TI watch. Very satisfied. I highly recommend it.

Nice! I've always suspected those scratches are on whatever coating they put on these.

I assume the scratches are in the coating itself and not the actual titanium So this might remove the coating leaving your watch prone to fingerprint smudges etc but won't have scratches I suppose. I'm curious how this stands up over time and if you notice any differences in fingerprints etc...

Yes, this exactly.

I’m not expert, but for what it’s worth the scratch was actually worse than what was shown on the pictures. It was actually shiny and thicker. I tried a pen eraser and that got it down to what you saw in the pics.

That’s when I decided to spring for the finishing pad.

Again, almost no pressure applied. Just lightly gliding over it. If coating was gone i wonder if pigment in that area would change.

I use this same scrub pad (purchased on Amazon) to remove scratches from my stainless steel link bracelet. Does a great job and maintains the brushed look of the bracelet. I have a series5 Titanium Silver watch. Have no scratches on it yet.

I know it's an older post but I'm curious how the watch looked after some time (say a few months to a year) as I know there is suppose to be a coating on the titanium to help with fingerprints and staining of the titanium.

Old bump would love to hear an update as well!

If it’s brushed titanium it’ll last until the next scratch. And the pad sold in the Amazon link is just a black or red 3M Scotchbrite pad. A green pad will probably do the trick as well.
