I just installed a Samsung 840 SSD in my macbook pro and used this TRIM enabler to enable the TRIM command on my SSD

http://www.groths.org/?page_id=322

Though the app says "the patch is active and trim is enabled. everything looks super", the S.M.A.R.T section seems not to be working (see attachment)

What gives? Should I disable TRIM?

I haven't enabled TRIM on my SSD. Feeling pretty badass.

Why would you want to hack your kernel?

EDIT: Noting that this isn't malicious. But before installing my SSD, I was convinced that I had to enable TRIM. Then after speaking to a few people, most of them report that their SSD's have lasted years without it with no performance degradation.

It means that your SSD doesn't support SMART info. Same with my Crucial M4.
