Basically what you're suggesting is that we all have eyefinity, not on single cards but even cross cards, in our mac pros without even knowing it.

I'm not sure one way or the other, and to what extent. That's why I asked for confirmation, and hopefully, a detailed explaination (extent of how advanced it is or isn't; cross cards or same make only,...).

I'd have thought it came with some form, though on the rudimentary side, as is HydraVision is for ATI cards under Windows. It has limits (a few posts back).
 
Update

So I was able to hook up the Matrox Triplehead2go through the DVI and another DVI through the existing miniDP and now I have 3 24" 1080p monitors on 1 graphics card. Also, LOOK!:D:D:D:D:D:D
