Hello guys. Not sure if I’m posting in the right section.
Can anyone recommend a good quality tripod for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m looking to shoot some hour long videos and pics.

All suggestions are welcome. thanks 😊

I can’t really speak to the tripod itself, but I’ve been using this tripod mount for my phone for several years and I’ve been quite happy with it. It’s solidly built and holds the phone firmly.

As far as the actual tripod goes, like most things in life you get what you pay for. Don’t go for the cheapest option or you’ll get something pretty shaky and flimsy.

I’d suggest a square jellyfish mount. I’ve used on for a good while. Then any solid tripod. You can spend any amount on a tripod and like most things you get what you pay for.

For what it’s worth, the square jellyfish mount is the one I used before the one I recommended above, but I liked the one I recommended better. To me it seems easier to use and feels more firmly attached to the phone because you screw down to clamp it onto the phone, rather than just stretching it over the phone. Additionally, the place where you screw the tripod into the mount stripped out on my square jellyfish mount. However, on mine that piece was just plastic and it looks like now they are using metal, so stripping might not be a problem anymore.

I have tried them all. For the phone mount I absolutely love the Studio Neat Glif. No struggles getting a perfect fit and it locks down solidly. I place it on my phone a lot as just a grip. Highly recommend.

The Moment MagSafe tripod mount is the one to get. Takes regular threaded connectors to go into any tripod you want. Phone just snaps onto the MagSafe mount… no clamps needed.

That‘s really cool. I got my tripod mount before MagSafe was a thing. How well does it hold the phone though? I’d be a little worried about the phone falling off if I was moving the tripod or something… especially given the weight of my 13 pro max.

It’s fine. I’ve carried the tripod around with the phone on it without issues so it’s on there pretty good. I’m also 13 PM. Have been using the Moment since the 12 PM. Highly recommended.
