Tripplite ups power software

I just Tripplite smart 1500lcd and i want to know how to hook it up to mac, but the software that came with it is for windows. I need it to kick in when the power goes out.

Can someone recommend some good software for mac power management, thank you

Usually the UPS will have a usb connection. Try hooking the power up and plugging in the usb to the Mac - it might be able to handle it anyway.

i know this is a grave dig, but im having this exact same problem. I plugged it into the mac, but it just gives me shutdown options and battery percentage remaining.

I want to know the current load capacity, etc etc....
Anyone have this item?

I only have experience with my APC UPS... But it didn't require any additional software Mac OS X has built-in support for it. Go to System Preference/Energy Saver and click the UPS tab.
