New to the forum...need some advice.

I'm trying to back up photos to external hardrive.....the problem is that the "title" of the pic I have assigned in iphoto is apparently not the "file name" of the pic that shows when I drag to the external device. So....I keep getting the error message that I can't put all the files in the hardrive because one of them is "busy".

Example: I want to send the picture titled "my dogs" to the HD. When I do, the picture is transfered there, but is then called IMG.001.jpg. What gives?!

I have already assigned a unique title to all of the pictures I have so that this wouldn't happen...i.e. error messages about duplicate pictures with generic, camera-assigned names like IMG.001.jpg.

Any suggestions?

Export the photos and use the setting in the Export dialog box that titles the files with the title of the photo?
