I recently bought the Lacie D2 52x32x52 Firewire CD writer which, also is sold by Apple at their online store. I installed it according to the instructions, quite simple, just plug and play. However, once i want to burn using itunes a message popped up stating that itunes can not burn the disc since the writer doesn't respond properly. So now I'm left to using Toast which came along with the disc writer. Does anybody know how I can get itunes to work ?? I'm running OS X 10.2.8...

I checked xlr8yourmac.com real quick and found some stuff under drive compatibility:

Panther (10.3) has native support

I would check around there to see if there are modified drivers around.

You can also try the free program PatchBurn.
