I brought my BlackBook to a school with wireless internet, and I was not able to connect to the internet. Their network was called "independance" and it said that I was connected and had full signal strength, but I tried opening Safari and it said I was not connected and my widgets would not work either (the ones that require internet) The thing is, it only showed the airport status thing, not a timer that showed how long I was connected. I just want to be able to connect. Thanks!

Does your school require sth like VPN??
You should go to your school's website and have a search..

The thing is, I know someone with a PC Laptop that connects fine. I just dont know why internet connect says I am connected, but Safari says I am not.
