Trouble converting videos

Hey I have checked around for a form like this and appoligize if it is already here. I have been trying to get iMovie's .mov's and QuickTime's .mp4's to convert to a type that my mobile phone can use. My phone is a LG VX8350 if that changes anything.

What type of video does your phone support? It would help to know the needed video codec, audio codec, resolution, bitrate, container, etc.

The videos that come off my phone are .3g2's and the audio is anything but 's .m4p's. thats all I know.
