Hi guys

OK so i currently bought a brand new 24" imac and am trying to print from my MP610. The printer is running off a wireless network and i have no trouble finding or connecting to it.

I downloaded the most recent drivers from the canon website,( 6.9.3) and installed them. However the problem is i cant seem to find them anywhere in the computer. The driver does not show up in the selected driver list, and i can't see to find it manually either.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thanks

Just came across your post... I have exactly the same setup as you. I bought an iMac two weeks ago and I want to use it with my Canon MP610 printer which is connected to my wireless ASUS router. I simply have no room for this printer in my living room.. Did you find a solution? Anyway, I am going to (try to) connect my printer to my iMac this weekend. I will post my experiences here.

I have a the same AIO connects to a Time Capsule.

I managed to get my Canon MP600 printer to work through my Asus WL500W router. Here's what I did:

1. updated router firmware to latest 2.0.0.6
2. connected printer directly to iMac and tested that it worked
3. connected printer to router and configured print options as follows:
-protocol: LPD
-address: <router's ip, in my case 192.168.0.1>
-queue: LPRServer
-driver: selected Canon Pixma MP500 driver

I have opened a case at Canon to point me to the location of the MP600 driver because it is on my system but I cannot find it.

Not sure if the firmware update changed anything (there's no list of changes available for it) but anyway, final result is that it works. I hope this helps someone out there..

Good luck! Hans
