Resolved Trouble installing Panther on PowerBook G3 Lombard

I've had a lot of trouble with PB G3 internal CD drives, they are just so old at this point. Is the disk recognized?
I haven't heard about the empty ram slot, what is that about?

Nope, my CD Drive is perfectly fine. Reads every CD I put in it including Panther.

Also, I have no idea but for some reason OS X doesn't like too much RAM being in the Lombard while it's installing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
