So I just loaded Parallels 5 on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.3) and installed Windows 7. After installing the "Parallels Tools" everything seemed to be running smoothly. Unfortunately there is one problem that I am encountering in regards to mapping a network drive at my office with Parallels/Windows 7. The Mac sees the network drive and can read and write to it without issue. Windows unfortunately can not, and the office software I need Windows for must be able to access this drive. Anyone encountered this before and possibly offer some advice? Thanks in advance.

I have run into the same issue. I was using vmware with no problem, but parallels runs a lot more smoothly. However, I also cannot connect to my network drives at my work.

We run software off of a server, but since I cannot connect to it with windows 7 in parallels, I cannot use the software.
