For those of you that have the OtterBox Defender for iPhone 3G (not the original iPhone), how do you go about removing the phone from the hardshell?

I detached the two side latches and then the top latch, but cannot figure out what is best to grip/"tug" on in order to detach the two hard shell plates. I don't want to damage the case, or phone, while doing so.

As I'm sure many people have this case from perusing around these forums, any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

after releasing the tabs just pull the halves apart by the holes for the ringer switch and the volume rocker, using a finger on either side, works for me
