trouble with AIM

So lately I've been having trouble using AOL Instant Messenger version 4.7 for my Mac OSX. By lately I mean the past few days. I try to log on and it gets to 'signing on' but can't get to 'finishing up' and eventually it says the connection timed out. I try on different screen names, etc. and it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

i wouldn't use aim at all on osx. use adium. http://adiumx.com/

i fourth using adium, however you can use iChat...works just as well

I just started using Adium last night. According to their FAQ, it does not support video.
