Hello, I am having trouble partitioning my mac using the Boot Camp Assistant. Whenever I try to partition it says it cannot be done because "some files cannot be moved" then it says to format my mac to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using Disk Utility and then restore my data (from a backup) to the disk and then try Boot Camp again. So I go into Disk Utility and select Macintosh HD but don't know what to do from there.

Thanks,

If for some reason you are using a lot of disk space on your Mac HD, it will throw up this error. Particularly if you have some large movies.

You could either use iDefrag to defragment your hard drive, or maybe try your luck with deleting some files. Although, I must say with 10.5.4 this issue was mostly resolved.

Well, Im running 10.5.5 and I have used 130 gigs and have 103 left (232 total) and I don't have any big movies so I don't know what's up.
