hey all,

I'm trying to install xp using boot camp on my imac. I get to the partition state and I want to partition my HD as a 32 (for mac) and 200 (for xp). I click partition and I get the following error message:

Verification Failed. This disk could not be partitioned.
Use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

What does this mean? Thanks!

Load up your Mac OS X DVD by holding down C and once you've picked a language go to Tools>Disk Utility and Repair your Hard Drive.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you telling me to put in my install disk 1? I did so and I never saw an option to choose my language nor a way to get to the disk utility.

I've done what you said, it did repair something, but it doesn't solve the problem. I'm still getting the same error message. Anything else I can try? I really don't need to have mac osx on my computer, is there a way I can just install xp w/o osx?
