    hey all,

I'm trying to install xp using boot camp on my iMac. I get to the partition state and I want to partition my HD as a 32 (for mac) and 200 (for xp). I click partition and I get the following error message:

Verification Failed. This disk could not be partitioned.
Use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

    What does this mean? Thanks!

Load up your Mac OS X DVD by holding down C and once you've picked a language go to Tools>Disk Utility and Repair your Hard Drive.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you telling me to put in my install disk 1? I did so and I never saw an option to choose my language nor a way to get to the disk utility.

Insert the disk, restart and hold down C while the computer is starting up...

I've done what you said, it did repair something, but it doesn't solve the problem. I'm still getting the same error message. Anything else I can try? I really don't need to have mac osx on my computer, is there a way I can just install xp w/o osx?
