so I finally fixed my mac. and here i am installing windows via bootcamp, i've watched numerous videos, so ive got a good idea.

except i partitioned 32gb to windows, then i inserted the disc and it booted up in the xp installer. so i followed a few steps, i clicked enter to start installer and i agreed to the license. and here i am about to select the partition. but oh, what's this? there is only one partition?
yep i only have 1 option. a 131072 MB partition called partition 1 on the C:
in parentices [unknown]

so i'm not 100% sure but i dont think 131072 MB = 32gb...
could someone help please. do i quit or what?
i tried to install a couple of nights back and it completely messed the drive.

UPDATE: just gone back into OS X, opened disk util and theres my disk along with the 2 partitions underneath... My HD and bootcamp...

so the partition is there but its not appearing in the windows installer. any help?

any help is much appreciated

thank you

erase the partition in disk utility and start again.. your XP installer will only be able to see the FAT32 partition you've reserved for bootcamp which you will then need to reformat to NTFS using the windows installer.
I'm not sure why it's listing the partition as being so small but scrapping it and starting again sounds like your best bet.

ok thanks
and looking in disk util i can see the boot camp disk and the format is MS-DOS (FAT32)
