today, I successfully cloned the original HDD in my mother's 2008 white MacBook to an external hdd (toshiba 500gb, it's all they had at Walmart today).
I installed a 128 gb sandisk ultra plus ssd into the MacBook, and booted from the external hdd. However, the MacBook is not recognizing the ssd at all.
Any recommendations or ideas? I am really hoping this isn't a bad sata cable, and the original hdd still works if I reinstall it into the macbook. It's just an issue of the ssd not being recognized. All help is greatly appreciated.
