I installed Ubuntu on a USB flash drive using Mac Linux USB Loader and when I restart and use the flash drive as my boot drive, it loads a black screen with the words "Welcome to enterprise - version 0.4.1". It goes no where from there. I have been able to force shutdown the computer and reboot normally into Mac OS, but have had no success with getting Linux to run. Does anyone have any experience with this installer program and how to get it to work?

Why not just use the normal Ubuntu installer? That has always worked well for me. You don’t need extra tools
You can use the live version of Ubuntu on USB or CD.

Yes, perfectly fine. I have a flash drive just next to me with Ubuntu Mate installed on the drive through the normal installer
