I had my MBP upgraded to a 320GB hdd and now the screen stays gray and will not do anything with the restore dvd that's in the drive right now. The drive makes sounds like it's working but nothing on the screen is happening (besides being gray).

Any troubleshooting tips? Safe mode? Is there a way to eject the dvd because the button isn't doing the job.

You have to press C as the computer is booting for it to boot off the install disc (which is what I assume you mean to do).

If you need to eject the disk hold down eject on boot or the trackpad button.

Doh, I knew there was something I was forgetting to do, this is only the second time I've done this, the other one was a mac mini.

Thanks again
