I'm not sure how many have seen this announcement http://www.sybase.com/detail/1,6904,1016938,00.html, but I wonder if enterprise hardware will be available to run the enterprise software. Will there finally be a true server box with dual/quad cpu, redundant power supplies, RAID, etc. That would truly make a strong case to bring Mac OS X into corporate IT departments.

link doesn't show up, but i have seen a rack-mount macos X server somewhere, i will try to find it and post the link tommorow.

servers

It would be nice to see Apple make some. These 3rd party onse are ok. There has been several Co.'s that put the guts of a Mac in a rackmount box. Some make rackmount kits for the current towers.

I would love to see some Apple servers sitting next to the Sun Boxes at work

Tasty

but pricey. It'd fit in my Predator case though......Put it, a couple of mPower powerboxes and iRacks and I'd have a whole geekhouse in one rack. And enough processors to make the CIA nervous. Add in an OC3 and it'd be a threat to "national security"
