True Tone display and accuracy when viewing photos/videos?

I want to use an iPad Pro to tether to a DSLR and view photos and videos. I'm assuming that I should turn off True Tone display for this? I do not know anything about True Tone.

Though I know I can switch on Live Photo’s via ipppro and possibly SE

I think a lot of the apps turn off true tone as well.
