iPhone 15 Pro Max True Tone Not stable 15 Pro Max

Hey Guys, Noticed that my new Iphone 15 pro max is not stable. Coming out of an Iphone 11 pro max that was fine. I noticed during the day it turns off and when I go to the settings it is turned on , when I toggle on and off shows no difference. Then it starts again .. No Screen Protector installed. The phone is up to date. My wifes new 15 pro max seems to be fine.

Could be some difference between units and panel types. When I compared our two (Max) I noticed they act totally different, like both placed under the same artificial light (ceiling lamp with 2700k led bulb) one with G9P panel became very cool but one with G9N panel became warm. Then testing both in daylight by the window one with G9P became reddish pretty warm looking but one with G9N became cool and bluish. Also they seemed to act different how they reacted to light, they did not go equally bright with auto brightness. Both units have the same brand screen protectors (Spigen EZ-fit).

Not sure if it is the same issue but ever since maybe the 12 or 13 Pro Max (I upgrade every year) the True Tone sometimes simply stops working at random points during use and what I do to fix it is to lock the screen, wait a few seconds and the True Tone works again. Still see the same issue on my new 15 Pro Max so I just lock/unlock and I can tell just by my wallpaper that if it is working when it changes to the warmer color temperature.

I've noticed the same thing you mentioned with my previous 12 Pro and it is the same with 15 Pro Max that True Tone sometimes act erratically. However difference I saw between our two was not from that, they consistently showed the difference I mentioned. It looked as if True Tone was working opposite way between the two while I tested them.

I have found that using night shift continuously (day and night) at a setting that’s pleasing is a much better alternative than wonky True Tone

thanks guys.. My wife's is doing the same thing now! So def not my phone itself.

Now she's getting all her notifications and I'm not, Mostly on the Apple weather app. Maybe time to erase and start from new and NO iClud Restore ..

I have the 15 Pro and after update to 17.2.1 i have the same issues. When unlock the Phone sometimes true tone not work but in the settings it's enabled. I have test also Night Shift but its too yellow.
