Yet we have a booming economy. More jobs, low unemployment, and were finally standing up to a country that commits humanitarian atrocities, steals $300b in intellectual property, and cheats America for jobs.
Yet we have (a giant list of screw ups too long to list here)

Exactly, as an immigrant to the US I’m fully in support of Trump.

Black unemployment is at a 50 year low under Trump.
He’s doing everything he can to tackle illegal immigration which really hurts legal immigrants like myself.

I’m sick of hearing that he’s a racist. No the real racists are the left wing in America who come at everything with the bigotry of low expectations and call everyone a racist for not agreeing with them.

The US had to stand up to China eventually and anyone who follows world economics and politics understands these tariffs are hurting China far more than they are hurting the US.

Trump is not perfect - I don’t support all his energy or environmental policies but from a subjective and fair stance he’s actually doing a decent job.

This is one immigrant who’ll be supporting Trump in 2020 and not the DNC who treat immigrants like dumb children who don’t know better and need hand outs.

One thing I’ve noticed since living in America - the right do not give a monkeys about skin color, it’s the left that obsess over race and perceived ‘inequality’.

It’s incredible that anyone who is a minority, a woman, or no heterosexual would think that Trump is doing a “good job” given that his extensive history of being a racist, misogynistic, and homophobic.

And before you assemble a rebuttal along the lines of the “left conspiracy,” the Trump you are defending is the one who said that all people from Haiti have AIDS and that all Nigerians need to go back to their huts.

Not hard to have a “booming” economy when you are willing to recklessly balloon the deficit as he has.
Someone is going to have to pay for this irresponsible republican free ride at some point.
Anyway Obama left office with the economy in good standing.

Ah, Portland. Stay weird...and hateful.

Trump is an off-the-cuff salesman from Queens. He's failed, he's succeeded, he's made billions. He isn't a "master orator" who just floats dreamy platitudes with zero substance. He says things that are cringe-worthy, sure, but that's who he is. Then he does what he said he was going to do. Real, authentic and imperfect. That's why people like him. He "gets" blue-collar workers, despite being a Manhattan Billionaire.

He makes promises and keeps them. Some results take a long time to come to fruition, some are instant. He now runs this country, quite well might I add, and stands up for ALL Americans, regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, gender, whatever. He has done SO MUCH in just 2.5 yrs and all those who dislike him do is scream all negative things all the time. He produces results and follows through on promises and career/lazy/crooked politicians DO NOT like that. Politics isn't about getting anything done, it's about platitudes and empty promises, without getting a single useful thing done. A power thing, if you will.

But anyway, Tim knows exactly what's up. His job is to deliver EVIL PROFIT to shareholders (someone call @AOC!!!). How can he sleep at night amirite?
[doublepost=1566188243][/doublepost]
Sad that Trump folded instead of forcing Tim to create more American jobs.
Sometimes you have to play the long game. The Art of War, if you will.

One last thing, you know what? This story is just another example of Trump being flexible and listening to everyone. He is working with Tim. His position evolved based on Tim providing more information. That's what a President or any leader, frankly, should do. Listen and change.

Dictators, Nazis, whatever some call our President, don't do this, FYI.

This guy gets it. Refreshing to see.

“Standing up”? Lol. Tell me more about HK...

Regarding the choice on shoes.. I’m surprised no one seem to care how odd trumps trousers look at! Looks like almost double the width necessary for a comfy wear!

I inferred you were saying the economy was going to turn based upon Trump's policies (not that it can't, just a dangerous assertion to make, especially with a quick timetable attached). My apologies.
Given that this expansion has lasted an unprecedentedly long time, I’d venture to say that a recession would happen early in the next presidential term, if not at some point this one, regardless of who’s in office for either, and it perhaps should have happened in the previous term. It’s really more a matter of inevitability the way I look at it — what goes up must eventually come down to some extent, and we’ve been going up for a long time.

(Edit: before you get triggered, I said people LIKE you, not you specifically)

People like you are actually wanting a recession. Pretty terrifying, actually. No sane person would ever want an economic decline, along with it's consequences, to be wished on an entire country just because they hate one man. It's sad, really.

Our President is finally standing up to China and puts the country he leads first. This is a good thing, kids. It's okay to like your country...no wonder everyone is trying to pour across the border...this is a pretty great place! Tim knows what he is doing...he has the false God of money and profit leading him by the nose.

Now, watch me get warned/slapped on the wrist for this post. It's not low effort anti-Trump snark so they always get mad at me for it. Okie Dokie.

Nowhere does he (or anyone LIKE him) say they want a recession. You should try actually responding to the arguments posed instead of inventing ones you can try to win.

I read your reply earlier but have so far resisted the temptation toy call you out. I'm not sure how you arrived at your figures for all that, (a lot of governments look at statistics from a different standpoint so as to make results look more favourable to themselves), but I'm not asking that right now.
What I would like to know though please is exactly what you mean by, "and cheats America for jobs.".

Thanks.

Free market capitalist my @$$. The idea that Tim Cook needs to plead with he top elected official of his own government in the hopes that he'll protect his rights, when that's his only proper function as President is an abominable state for this country occupy. What a shameful "leader."

The President's only proper function is not to protect companies as Apple. Tariffs on the communists are in America's best interest.

So over the years, Apple became the most valuable company in the world by exploiting China, reaping all of the advantages of its’ low cost economy, moving all of its manufacturing there (the vast majority of it), reaping the benefits, never being concerned by China’s ethical, environmental, commercial or political systems because it only served to help Apple to become ever more successful. Now, it seems, when those same systems might (indirectly) serve to harm Apple, they seek the help from government because they might be disadvantaged now?

Tim Apple working to keep shareholders happy, good to see regardless of his affiliation he's willing to make his case the right way.

Absolutely and Cook will put his prices up to protect those share holders as that’s all that matters.. not the poor value for money Apples pricing offers sometimes.
It seems US presidents like it when Apple goes crying to them about unfair this or that..
[doublepost=1566197573][/doublepost]
Translation: Apple pitched a hissy fit like a two year old child

Again.... remember what they ran crying to Obama because the court sided with Samsung to ban Apple devices?

Yes, but that’s the capitalist world that’s been allowed to grow and you live in, it’s only going to get worst too..
America wants to punish China because it gave them a taste of their own medicine with steel etc, so now Trump is going to push back, which is bad and good, I dread to think the levels he’s stooped to to grow his own corporation, it’s the knowing this trade war is full of hypocrisy that’s troubling. Make billions from a country’s work force then come down on them like a ton of bricks when it’s no longer to your advantage as much.

Trump needs to be careful who he picks on as enemies, the large majority of American company goods are still made in China. And it’ll impact prices for goods globally too I’d imagine, again because it’s all about protecting those share holders first and foremost, not the workers or customer.

Yeah the economy is doing well but tbf trump inherited a very healthy economy and it has just head in the exact same direction from when he took over. Nothing has really changed, he hasn't had much on an effect good or bad imo.

I mean look at the trend for unemployment, it's great how low it is now but there was no change to the trend when trump became president:

I think democrats vastly exaggerate the bad effect he has had on the country and reps vastly exaggerate the good effect he has had.
