I''m still showing 3.6.1507.49.

In my experience, the Auto Updater, does not always work as divined. One must actually do a fresh download. If there is a way to find the current version on their site, I have yet to find it.

FWIW I: I find it most coincidental that regardless of when I check for updates, Trusteer always reports it had just been done a few minutes earlier...

FWIW II: About mid-way through the install process, there is a CAPTCHA verification. Shouldn't this be done prior to installing? I have no idea of the consequences should CAPTCHA fail.

FWIW III: I remain thrilled that IBM writes the code for the US air traffic control system.

OK. First just to update, I now have 3.6.1507.49 - happened some time between my last post yesterday and lunchtime today.

I've never had the CAPTCHA issue.

Also, I haven't had a kp caused by Rapport for more than a year.

I know none of this is any help - just saying that for me, it works pretty well, my main gripe being the delay between browser/OS updates and catch-up Rapport updates.

As for your comment, Pndrgnsvc, about IBM, I share your concerns but I doubt that IBM cuts corners in that area. They wouldn't dare! I feel the problem with Rapport is that it was ticking over nicely for end-users and making some money for its creators - whereas having taken Trusteer over, I doubt that IBM gets the balance-sheet return it would like - so for us, it does cut corners. My memory tells me it was much better supported by the original company.

FWIW, I just noted this posted on the USAA Site:

"Beginning Nov. 20, 2015, we will no longer offer Trusteer Rapport on usaa.com, but you'll still be able to download it for free from Trusteer.com. The software will still work with usaa.com, but you may have to manually activate it on your own.

Here's how...

• If Trusteer Rapport is not enabled to protect a website, the Trusteer Rapport icon in the address bar will be gray.
Click the gray Trusteer Rapport icon in the address bar. A dropdown dialog box appears.
• In the drop down dialog box, click Protect this Website. The Trusteer Rapport icon on the address bar turns green, indicating that this website is now protected by Trusteer Rapport.

Contact Trusteer/Support with any questions.

For the best security USAA has to offer, we recommend you enhance the security of your online account with a CyberCode option, which is available in your Security Preferences.

You have our commitment to continuously enhance our security measures to help protect your personal and financial information."

What, exactly, this portents, and why the turnabout, I dunno. But for sure, USAA's endorsement of Trusteer has been withdrawn.

BTW, One needs the installer to run the Uninstaller. Also, a search of Trusteer after the "Successful Uninstall" still results in (much) detritus that requires manual removal.

Now that is interesting. I wonder what's going on. I can only guess - maybe IBM has started turning the screws on the banks and wants more for providing the service - and maybe usaa has declined. If I'm right, I suspect IBM will eventually want payment from any end-users whose banks aren't in the scheme.

It's a tricky one to call. I feel pretty secure with not only Apple behind me but Intego Internet Security as well, plus the in-built security provided by the browser - but Rapport does add something to my comfort factor. At least for as long as it's free, I'll continue using it.

As regards uninstalling - I tend to "cheat" - I have CleanMyMac and use it to uninstall programs properly.

Does anyone know if Trusteer Rapport v 3.6.1507.30 is compatible with El Capitán?

The Problem: The Trusteer Rapport Address Bar icon is not present, even though I have the preference enabled.

Is this an OS issue, perhaps relating to security, or does the problem stem from Trusteer itself?

Suggestions & musings most welcome.

I have this problem with my I Mac but not my Mac Air does any one know why this is?

after several install attempts on OS X 10.11, and Safari 9.1. I did another install over the install (so I didn't uninstall and install). Then I open and closed Safari a bunch of times, that last time I was holding option+command (which might have had no affect - a fluke!? ) but then the icon appeared.
