No, I am not "projecting." Your original warning verbiage was pretty straightforward:
"Fair warning, absolutely do not just pull out your phone and take a picture of my child..."

Yeah I thought it was pretty straightforward. You somehow managed to extrapolate a bunch of weird ideas from it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Today is Independence Day in the United States, and many Americans will be gathering to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with friends and family. If you are headed to a backyard BBQ, we have a fun iPhone party trick to share with you.

I can’t imagine worrying about picture taking when in the backyard of friends or family. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve used it to check the height of a piece of furniture we considered buying at a garage sale but didn’t have a tape measure handy.
It is *not* 100% accurate but it is more reliable than the Mark I Eyeball.
Yeah, I've used it to get a ballpark measurement of a wall or a piece of furniture like your example. It's great for that stuff, but that's about it.

Doing a quick test just now with my 15 Pro with good lighting and not too far away, I found Measure was off by 1" over a 4' length. That's off by about 2%. Not the end of the world, but not replacing a good ol' tape measure anytime soon.
