I'm going to preorder an iPhone 5, but I'm not sure whether I should get 32 GB or 64 GB. I know that there are tons of threads like this on this forum. However, in this one, I ask you to convince me to get the 64 GB version.

I currently have a 32 GB iPod Touch. It's almost full (mostly apps—15 GB, but my music library is not that big, only a few GB). I probably could go with a 32 GB iPhone and be okay, but, because of the fact that it has a great camera, I'm worried that I'll need space for those 8mp pictures and 1080p video. Also, apps tend to get larger over time. And I know that with a 64 GB version, I would never run out of space. If I get a 32 GB one and it's not enough, I know I will regret.

The difference between 32 GB and 64 GB versions is $100, which I could make up for by saving up a bit. On the other hand, I could get some accessories for that money, e.g. a case or a car mount.

So, try to convince me to get a 64 GB version while you wait for the preorders to start.

Why do we need to convince you? Just get how much storage you need. If you think you would use the 64 and got the 32, you might regret it later on.

I've been trying to convince myself for the last few days, but I just can't make up my mind.

I don't think I would ever use 64, but maybe around 40, which is clearly over 32. On the other hand, I could delete apps I rarely use and get by with 28.

It's only $100 more to double up your memory.

Is this a Good enough reason from random Internet guy?

If you're that worried just spend the extra 100 bucks you're going to have this phone for a while. If I find out you didn't get the 64 gig model, ill find you.....ill find you and kill you.

You can always find stuff to fill up extra GB but it's a pain in the ass to have to go through and delete stuff that you don't really want to delete because you have to free up room on a smaller-capacity device. High-res photos and video eat up a big chunk of memory.

You want to be convinced to get a 64gb. Therefore, you actually want a 64gb iPhone. So there you go

Of course I want it, but I'm not sure if it's worth $399+tax if I only use around 40 GB.

Because you will take 996,746,368,494 28 megapixel panoramic photos.

Does anyone know how much space will those 28mp panoramic photos take?

Wish the mods would just sticky THESE FIVE types of threads.

OK - think of it this way. It's an extra $100 and you might never use it, but when you want to sell it for an iPhone 6, you'll recoup $50+ of that additional cost. So really it's a $50 decision. Do it.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. But how easy it it to sell a locked iPhone? How much do people pay for a 64 GB iPhone 4S?

What is this, some kinda game or something? LOL

Just a way to spend time as you wait for the preorders to begin :D

Help me please…If you use over 32 GB, what takes up the space? I need to justify the purchase.

I'm on the 32GB now and have 3GB free... I'm keeping this around for two years, so I'm getting the 64GB version.

Plan ahead.

(I like having all of my playlists on my phone - I hate wanting to listen to something and NOT have it right then and there)
