Battery issues on Android devices are due to two things
1. The screens, which are usually 4" or larger
2. The cellular radios, which EAT POWER like crazy. I took the SIM out of an HTC G2 and the battery lasted for days (unheard of with Android phones).

Battery issues with android phones won't get solved until they figure out how to make UMTS chips draw less juice.

The reason why the iPhone4 can squeeze so much more battery life out of their phones is partly due to a smaller, dimmer screen and a crappy radio.

Its all about picking your poison.

See this is killing me. I have an IP4, but it is not working right. I REALLY like the atrix, but I am just afraid the OS wil be too buggy, and it won't run apps lik angry birds etc... What do I do?
Runs Angry Birds just fine. ;)
Got the free version of Angry Birds Rio from the Amazon Appstore and it kicks butt.

The OS is just fine. It's the crap that some phone manufacturers throw on top of it that makes it buggy. (HTC Sense UI and Samsung TouchWiz come to mind)

Fortunately the Atrix is relatively bug free even with MotoBlur on it.

I keep hearing negatives about motoblur.

What is it?

It's Motorola's attempt at unifying the "social" part of Android.
It's not bad, it's just ugly, but it can be shoved into the background very easily and if you want to hit the XDA forums, they'll show you how to strip it down to the minimum needed to have the phone still work.
Many of the stock Android apps that MotoBlur replaces can be put back.
Chat, email, contacts, etc. can all be installed over MotoBlur.

There is a custom ROM called GingerBlur that does all this for you.
Takes about 5 minutes to load on a stock phone with root access.
It takes a bit longer if you've already started tweaking it as they recommend you do a fresh reload of the retail OS image before running GingerBlur.

Not much different than jailbreaking and loading a custom ipsw on an iPhone.

Well I love Apple products but lately I've been let down. I bought the new Macbook pro 15 inch and had troubles right out of the gate with some screen issues that werent able to be pinpointed to cause.

This is an iphone forum so heres that part. Ive had every iPhone and it just seems bugs get more common and more common. Clock issues and what not are just getting tiresome. That said Im going to try the Atrix out for a while and see if I like it. My problem is the apple ecosystem. My old Macbook has all my iPhone backups and music and you name it. All the apps I have bought for the iPhone.

Has anyone else gotten fed up with some problems, even if minor?

I know I will get harassed about this seeing as it is an iPhone board.

If you're that picky about bugs with iOS then don't ever try BlackBerry. You're liable to jump off a bridge with those problems!
